Welcome to eat your bap! My friends and I adore Korean food, but often groan about the lack of documentation and precision our mothers provide in recounting the cooking process. Granted, the cuisine doesn’t really lend itself to exactness; but I hope this site can be helpful to anyone who’s grown up in a Korean kitchen where written recipes were nonexistent and the infamous ee-man-kum, juh-mang-kum measuring tools reigned.
Luckily, resources abound nowadays, making learning about Korean cuisine that much more fun and easy. As a fellow blogger and lover of ALL foods, I’ve decided to focus my K-food interests by creating this site and tackling just one recipe a week at a time — all the favorites I grew up with, and then some. I can handle that, right?
I hope you’ll join me! My goal is to create a casual forum where busy people who love Korean food can experiment, share hits ‘n misses, as well as spread all that is good about hansik to anyone willing to listen and taste!
